About me

My name is George Lorimer, I'm a Milwaukee based actor and singer. I first became interested in theatre when I joined my seventh grade forensics team and found that I had a knack for performing. That knack became a calling as a got to perform in my first professional show with First Stage Children's Theatre and went to the College of Wooster to get my bachelor's in Theatre.

Since graduating from college I've had the pleasure of working at companies around the country, including Opera in the Ozarks, College Light Opera Company, Ohio Light Opera, Three Brothers Theatre, Cooperative Performance, Skylight Music Theatre, and Music Theatre of Madison. This year, I completed my Emerging Professional Residency with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, playing ensemble roles and understudying throughout their 2021/22 Season. With tools and experience my apprenticeship has given me, I am ready to make a career in theatre and music.

I'm drawn to work that speaks truth to power, uplifts marginalized voices, and awakens our collective imagination.  It is why I am drawn to contemporary plays, musicals, and new and devised work. Over the next few years, I hope to move to Chicago, get representation, and begin working at regional theatres across the country.
